PLACES\u00a0UNPAVED! –\u00a0<\/b><\/span>PLACES VERY NARROW! <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

The last 2km of the road to us is unpaved gravel and is narrow. Transit vans can just squeeze through. Nothing bigger. We have parking in the village and 200m down from the village. A three wheel bike can help take you 3 minutes to the village or you can walk with your bags. This is not very convenient but there is nothing we can do as it\u2019s a very narrow road. The good side is that keeps the crowds and tour buses out! Lots of additional parking on the main road by the motorway if needed. Alternatively, drop the car off near the bus station and grab a taxi from there.<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have a driver get them to drop you off at the village (make sure he is an expert reverser and your car is not super wide).\u00a0<\/span>The driver can easily park and stay in one of the other villages or in San Yang on the main road.<\/span><\/p>\n

Driving to us along the motorway is easy. <\/span><\/p>\n

We are 7km from Motorway.<\/span><\/p>\n

Last 2km is dirt road. Not suitable for very big cars.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. From Shanghai \/ Hangzhou direction on the\u00a0G56 you will stop at a toll. 10-12 minutes from there you will arrive at Sanyang exit. The exit is easy to miss. Look out for a big police check point, its just there. From the motorway, go down, pay the toll.<\/span><\/p>\n

    2. Turn Left when you hit the main road. Follow the main road for 1-2km, with the river on your right, until you see the big red sign (just over a bridge).<\/span><\/p>\n

    3. Turn left off the main road by the red sign and go uphill. Another river should be to your left.\u00a0<\/span>Go north up the concrete road through villages following the river.<\/span><\/p>\n

    4. Near the end and before the bridge turn right here:\u00a0http:\/\/j.map.baidu.com\/QutR9<\/span><\/a> onto a gravel road. Keep following river.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    5.\u00a0Drive to the end of the road over a hump old stone bridge. Drive up a steep hill, with the river on your right and arrive at\u00a0<\/span>DaXiYuan Village. There are two areas for parking.<\/span><\/p>\n
