6 to 12 Day Tour
Truly an epic trip. We will tailor a package based on how much cycling you want to do each day and your fitness level. There is a lot to see and experience, so leave some time for sightseeing at the end of each day, or have a few rest days en route.
There are two alternatives to how we offer this tour:
- Either you cycle point to point self supported or
- A van will drive you to some highlighted sections of the route each day, help take a few photographs of you as your bike and carry your gear.
The loop roughly follows:
Wildhomestay > Shecounty > Huangshan > Yixian > Qiandao Lake > Wildhomestay. For a longer trip you can add on Wuyuan & Jingdezhen! See below for an example.
Example 11 Day Tour
Below is an itinerary for a medium fitness rider. 750km / 2 rest days / 3 provinces. An ultimate Huizhou experience! All tours start and finish at wildhomestay.

This day can be off the bike, or you can also visit some local sites on the bike. Wake up to an interesting local breakfast at the famous breakfast store, then head to the Museum to get some background on what Huizhou is all about. Then walk along the riverfront for a nice coffee, view and pictures. Grab lunch at the local restaurant, trying the fermented, smelly fish 🙂 Then head back for a quick nap, and then go off to the old building museum for a few hours to better understand the architecture and culture of what you will be seeing over the next week. If you’re up to it, visit the ink factory as well. Enjoy a drink and a local meal for dinner and walk around the old town. For early risers, take a short walk to the city market.
Day 3: 85km, 2 small climbs, Hongcun
The day starts out on some larger roads leaving town and then you hit nice small countyside lanes.

Day 5: 98km, 1 big climb, Yaoli

A short day if you want or add a few more km and take in the famous local “bird” climb if your legs are up to it. Then head north of the famous Wuyuan town and stay in an old Huizhou property which has a very nice mix of East mets West atmosphere, cusine and drinks. Have a good night as tomorrow is a rest day!

That night you will stay in a small lake side village trying out the local fish and Zhejiang cusine.
Day 10: 60km, The Queen Stage, Jinlin Mountain Village
The short 60km route takes in 1 mid and 1 long climb. A longer even more amazing route can also be had. Stay in a remote village hidden in the hills, enjoy a great local Zhejiang meal and go for a little hike to checkout the sunset over a cold beer and then star gaze.
