An ultra challenge, not a race!!!. This is an unpaid, unsupported ultra cycle challenge for the super tough 🙂
> Do it anytime, by yourself or with a group!
> Just finish the course within 72 hours!
> 500km Unspported!
It covers the eastern part of the Huizhou ancient area. It is not flat and is seriously stunning.
So can you ride 160km a day for 3 days? Sounds easy enough 🙂
Do this not for your social media but to challenge yourself physically and mentally. Something you will never personally forget!

Regulations
Please read carefully, as we will disqualify you from the challenge if you break them. Yes, you can cheat, but that is not the point. The point is to challenge yourself and others, get some experience at endurance events and see how far you can push yourself!
- Finish with 72h. To receive our finishers badge finish the challenge within 72h.
- Self-supported. You must carry all your gear and what you will be using on and off the bike. You can carry whatever you like. The concept of the challenge is that you experience what its like to bike tour or do a self-support race! Please carry your own gear even if you have a car or van following or meeting you. It’s not acceptable to have a car carrying your gear, you drafting it, handing out cold drinks, or your evening dressing gown.
- Must follow the course. You must follow the directions and the exact course. It’s ok if you go wrong, but you must go back to the point on the course where you went wrong and continue from there. If there is an obstacle you cannot get around, such as a closed gate or landslide, then we will take this into account with photo evidence.
- Any Bike but not E. Sorry no ebikes for this, or motorbikes or cars 🙂 Extra special bonus for fixed gear (impossible) or a Brompton (seriously stupid) 🙂
- Rides on Strava. All GPS files must be uploaded to Strava with the #huizhou500
- Must start & finish at Wildhomestay Cafe. Please provide a screenshot of your Strava ride(s) and some pictures and if possible a Redbook post or Instagram to a member of our staff.
- Sleep as much as you like. We suggest more the better unless you are planning to win it!
- Follow the road regulations. You are on open roads so follow the regulations.
Awards
- Every participant will receive a badge on completion after we check your Strava. The badge must be collected from the Cafe.
- The top female and male rider will be given a special object. This will be calculated at the last day of the year for that entire year.
- Your name and time will go on the board. You will receive no photographs or glamour for finishing this challenge 🙂

Warnings
- This is dangerous. Be very clear of the risks. Make sure you have the suitable fitness levels, gear and experience.

- We are not responsible for your well-being. We have not organized any insurance or support for you. Please don’t contact us with your problems; we are always happy to provide advice 🙂

If doing it over 2 nights, we suggest sleeping the 1st night at the base of Taizhijian and the 2nd night in Jinling Village! Contact our service account for more details.
- Be thoughtful of the weather and temperatures on top of the mountains!
