Cycle the first day from the homestay along the arteries, the 3 main rivers of the area where porcelain has been shipped to the outside world, along with silks and tea. Stop for lunch in a stunning, remote river village after a brief ferry crossing. Then head your way to the old town in a Shecounty city. Feast on the local delicacies and walk around the old city. After dinner, you will attend a performance of local Huizhou opera and sample local wines. Next morning you will visit the architectural museum (not to be missed) and the inkstone factory. Get back on your bike and head south along the river, over the hills, to Weiping, passing Qiangdao lake. Spend the night in the hills just off the lake, enjoying a hardy BBQ. The next morning, wake to the mists over the river and head north up through gorges and the valley back down to Sanyang. An amazing 3-day experience.
